William S. “Billy” Sokol

William Steven Sokol “Billy”, age 72, of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026. Bill was a graduate of St. Philip the Apostle Grammar School and Paramus Catholic High School. He excelled in Tennis and Track and Field and was so proud of his Letter for Track.

Bill’s enjoyment for skiing led him on a path to Vermont to work at Smugglers Notch Ski Resort that he truly enjoyed. Billy loved the New York Yankees, feeding the birds and having a great burger. But, loved his sister Kim‘s cooking the most.

For many years, Bill faced many medical problems and faced them the best he could. His aide Mora was a gift sent by God to help. We appreciate all the care, patience and compassion Mora gave to Billy and he considered her a cherished friend.

William is pre-deceased by his parents, Raymond and Sophie Sokol. He is survived by his brother Paul Sokol (and wife Karen) and sister Kim Carroll (and husband the late Joseph M. Carroll (Feb. 2000), nephews Michael Roehrich (and Suzanne), Ryan and Barbie Sokol, and Jeffrey and Erin Sokol, nieces Shannon and Mike Jolin, and Jaclyn and Kevin Brusotti  He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews Cooper, Taylor, Hank, Penny and Colbie, sister-in-law Janet Sokol and William Roehrich, and Tom Sokol.

Arrangements by Kugler Funeral Home. All services were private and Bill was laid to rest in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook, NJ.
