Walter W. Geer

Walter W. Geer, 99, of Saddle Brook, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. Born in Ohio, Walter lived a long, full life defined by honesty, love, and a sharp sense of humor that never faded.

A proud Navy veteran of World War II, Walter was a multiple time (5x) Commander and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3484 of Saddle Brook and lifetime member of American Legion Post 170 of Saddle Brook. He embodied service, integrity, and loyalty. He was a straight shooter, the kind of man who told you exactly what was on his mind whether you were ready for it or not, and that was part of what made him unforgettable.

Walter was the devoted husband of the late Lorraine Geer and the loving father of Walter Geer, Patricia Geer, and Michael Geer. He was also the cherished father-in-law of Patricia M. Geer. Walter was the proud grandfather of Olivia, Emma, and Louis, and great-grandfather of Finn, who always brought a smile to his face. He is also survived by his niece Linda, whom he loved dearly.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, November 12th from 4–8 p.m. with military honors and prayer service at 7pm at Kugler Funeral Home 311 5th Street Saddle Brook, NJ. Private cremation afterwards. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post 3484 in Walter’s memory.

He will be remembered for his warmth, his honesty, and the way he could make anyone laugh just by telling it like it is 🙌🏻
