Stella Rusin

Stella Rusin (née Kapusta) passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2023 at the age of 92. Stella was born in Poland, the daughter of Maria and Frank Kapusta, and came to the United States in 1948. She married Joseph Rusin in 1950 and they bought a home in Garfield N.J. where she lived until her passing.

 

Before her retirement Stella worked as a quality control inspector at Electro Scan.

Stella enjoyed giving away the babka, pierogi, gołąbki and Polish pastrries she made, and the vegetables she grew in her garden to friends and family.

 

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.

 

Stella is survived by her sister Victoria Kmiec, her brother John Kapusta and his wife Barbara, her sister-in-law Patricia Kapusta and numerous nieces and nephews, who affectionately knew her as "Ciocia Stella."

 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Rusin, her sister Anna Sudal, her brother Stanley Kapusta and brother-in-law Joseph Kmiec.

 

She was a very proud and determined woman with a warm and accepting heart - giving, contributing and religious.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on March 27th 2023 11am at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial immediately following in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
