SADIE (SARAH) McKEE (nee Devine) of Canandaigua, NY and formerly of New York City and Saddle Brook, NJ passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2022 with family by her side. Sadie was born on August 19, 1925, to Mary and Henry Devine. She married James F. McKee on August 12, 1945. Sadie was a long-time resident of New York City as well as Saddle Brook, New Jersey where she together with James raised their 7 children. In her later years, she moved to Canandaigua NY. Although Sadie worked at many jobs, she was particularly proud of her secretarial skills and volunteer work.
Sadie is predeceased by, her parents, Mary and Henry Devine, her husband James F. McKee, her sister, Hannah Murphy, and her daughter, Joan Scheibener. Sadie was a loving wife to James for over 50 years as well as a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was incredibly loved by all who knew her. Sadie is survived by her children James (Barbara) McKee, Mary (William) Castiglione, Christine (Joseph) Cecere, John (Jeanette) McKee, Ann (Theodore) Van Santen, and Patricia McKee; her son-in-law Donald Scheibener; her grandchildren Barbara Meramo, James (Kara) McKee, Lauren (Michael) Inganamort, Joseph (Kayla) Cecere, Nickolas( Chiharu) Scheibener, Charles Scheibener, Ryan (Jaclyn) McKee, Jerod (Danielle) McKee, Mallory Daly, James Van Santen, Theo Van Santen, Daniel Van Santen, Jeremy Van Santen, and Vanessa Martell; her great-grandchildren Cara, Marissa Meramo, Ella, Sadie, Madeline Inganamort, Lyla Cecere, Alexander, Sara, Daniel Scheibener, Noah, Eli, Kai, Isaac McKee, Channing, Sawyer, Amelia McKee, Mayla, and Evelyn Daly.
Funeral services from Kugler Community Funeral Home 311 5th St. Saddle Brook, NJ. Visiting hours on Wednesday July 6th from 4-8pm. Funeral mass on Thursday July 7th 11am at St. Philip the Apostle Church Saddle Brook. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Â
