Roy Salvatore DeJulia, age 71, passed suddenly and unexpectedly on January 26th, 2024.
Roy was born in Jersey City, NJ on July 15, 1952, the 2nd of three children to Silvia and Salvatore DeJulia. Roy is the beloved husband of Susan DeJulia (nee Lotterman), and loving father of Melissa DeJulia. Roy was brother to the late Ralph DeJulia, and is survived by his younger sister Jeanine Reyngoudt. Roy was Uncle and Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins and was affectionately known as “Uncle Roy” to many close friends.
Roy was a cook in the U.S. Army Reserves for 6 years in the 1970’s. Continuing his patriotism in the service, he joined the Saddle Brook Volunteer Fire Department Engine Company # 2 and has been an active member for 45 years. Roy has held the ranks of driver, Lieutenant, Captain and Battalion Chief.
Roy was an avid hunter, fisherman and car mechanic. Roy was employed with P & A Auto Parts as a courier, machinist at Private Label, shrink wrap machinist at Levine Industries and pool service technician at EverClear Pools & Spa.
Funeral services from Kugler Funeral Home 311 5th Street Saddle Brook, NJ. Visiting hours on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 from 5 to 9 PM. Funeral mass to be held on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Church of St. Anne 15-05 Saint Anne Street Fair-Lawn, NJ. Interment immediately following in George Washington's Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saddle Brook Volunteer Fire Department Engine Company # 2.
