Robert Leidenfrost

Robert “Bob” Leidenfrost of Elmwood Park, NJ passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 91. Bob was the son of the late Charles Leidenfrost and Jean Griffin Leidenfrost. Bob was married to Mary Key who predeceased him. They enjoyed 30 happy years together.

Bob was a life-long resident, born in East Paterson, attending St. Leo’s Elementary School and building his business and home in Elmwood Park.

Bob was a third-generation builder. As Frostt Builders, he built custom homes in North Caldwell, Wayne and the surrounding area. Bob was also a musician, a talented trumpet player with a beautiful singing voice. He performed at many events. As a second career, he created a company to book musical acts. Many musicians started their careers through Globe Entertainment.

Bob leaves behind his sister, Theresa McGill, his extended family and close friends who will miss his jokes and lively personality. He is now playing his horn for all his loved ones who predeceased him.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Leo’s Church in Elmwood Park at 1pm. Bob will be buried with his wife, Mary, in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY at a later date.
