Richard Francis Carroll

Richard Francis Carroll, age 94, of Saddle Brook NJ, passed away on September 3, 2026.

Richard was born in Jersey City, grew up in Plainfield and lived in Saddle Brook for 57 years.

Richard was a military veteran serving with the U.S. Army Infantry Division during the Korean War and received numerous commendations including the Bronze Star, Korean Service Medal, United Nations and National Defense Service Medals.

Richard worked as Vice President for the Hoboken Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Rotary Club.

Richard loved the beach in Wildwood Crest and watching old movies. He was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan. He was always quick to light up the people around him with a joke. Richard will be missed by all.

Richard is the beloved husband of Frances (nee Primavera) Carroll. He is the loving father of Michael Carroll and his wife Debbie and Mark Carroll and his wife Christina. He is the dear grandfather of Richard Thomas Carroll and his wife Maria, Brittany Lynn Hill and her husband Brayden, Kevin Carroll and his wife Shelley, Aimee Ingram and her husband Gage, and Chelsea Edwards and her husband Tyler and great grandfather to Jackson, Camdyn, Cosette, Mason, Ryder, Griffin, Isaac, Luke and Avery.

Services from Kugler Community Home For Funerals 311 Fifth Street Saddle Brook NJ. Visiting hours on Friday September 11, 2026 from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass at St. Philip the Apostle Church 488 Saddle River Road Saddle Brook, NJ on Saturday September 12, 2026 at 9:30am. Entombment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum Saddle Brook, NJ.

Following will be a repass lunch for family and friends to be held at Al Dente Restaurant at 430 Market St. Elmwood Park, NJ 07407.
