Frances Smith

Frances (Scafuto) Smith, 81, of Garfield passed on January 30, 2025. Frances is the beloved wife of Bobby Lee Smith and loving mother of Kimberly Provenzano (and husband Francesco) and Bobbie Katrowski (and husband David).

Frances is also survived by her grandchildren, Gianluca R. and Dorabella Provenzano, Joseph, Keith and Jonathan Katrowski, and Anthony Smith.  Also survived by her sister Dolores Hastings of San Juan Capistrano, CA, and her brother Michael Scafuto (and wife Pat) of Brooklyn, NY.  Frances is predeceased by her sisters, Genevieve Bruno, Antoinette Gerdvil and Gloria Manges. 

Frances devoted her life to her family and volunteering in the community and was a member of the Garfield Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
