Dragan Ilic

DRAGAN ILIC, age 68, of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ passed suddenly on September 28, 2022. Dragan was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and came to the United States in 1983.  Dragan was a self employed construction worker working at various construction projects throughout the Bergen County area.
Dragan is survived by his son, Alexsandar Ilic of Jersey City, sister Milka Fejzic, Niece Daniela Fejzic of Freehold NJ, and his partner and best friend Bakir Madjzuka of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
Funeral visiting hours and services will be held on Saturday October 8th, 2022 from 2 to 4pm at Kugler Community Home For Funerals 311 5th Street Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 Tel. (973) 478-2500.
The following statement is issued by Dragons son, Alexsandar:
  Hi everyone, My name is Alexsandar Ilic. I am Dragans only child. I would like to thank everyone who has reached out and all that may come this coming Saturday to honor my Dad. Some have gone out of their way and may have to travel a very long distance to pay your respects and I know my father appreciates it.
  Anyone that has had the opportunity to truly get to know my father knows that he really enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and loved to joke around. In addition to his family demeanor, he was an honest, loyal, kind, and humble human being that would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it! |
  My father was a simple man. He lived a simple lifestyle until one day I entered the picture and made it not so simple anymore. The huge significance of that decision to take me in is so great that I would most likely not be in this world today if it wasnt for him pulling me out of the horrific war in Sarajevo, Bosnia. In 1993, he gave his 12-year old son a second chance at life. 
  I am grateful for the time we had together and I will cherish all of the memories we created together. You will be greatly missed. I will continue to carry our name with honor and pride, as you once did, and hope to make you proud.
