Daniel Vargo

Daniel Vargo, age 82, of Saddle Brook, NJ, passed away on June 26, 2024. He was born on March 20, 1942, in Passaic, NJ, to the late Nicholas and Helen Vargo. Daniel was a proud lifelong resident of Saddle Brook.

Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Dale Vargo (nee Wilson); his two loving daughters, Kimberly Couden and her boyfriend, Casey Curry, and Lori Minieri and her husband Eric; and his three dear grandchildren Brianna, Nicholas and Tyler who meant the absolute world to him. He is also survived by his brother Richard Vargo and his wife Bonnie. 

Daniel was a Veteran who served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964 aboard the USS Shangri-La. He received an honorable discharge and earned the Navy Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 415 in Saddle Brook. He was employed by National Community Bank for 23 years and then worked for United Rentals until his retirement.

Daniel's family was his greatest pride and joy. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his two grandsons play soccer and basketball. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. He also loved his '57 Chevy.

Services from Kugler Community Home For Funerals, Saddle Brook NJ. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday July 1, 2024 from 10am-12pm. Interment to follow in SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
