COURTNEY LYN GIARRITTA, age 40, of Roselle NJ, passed on April 11, 2021.Courtney was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey and raised in Allendale, New Jersey. She attended Brookside School and Northern Highlands Regional High School where she was a member of the Marching Band. Courtney had a great work ethic and was employed for 20 years with CVS Pharmacy starting as a cashier and becoming a Store Manager where she loved to interact with her customers. Courtney was a movie buff and would often work movie quotes into her conversations. She was a foodie who loved to bake, travel, and loved Harry Potter (having visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios in November 2020); she also loved Flamingos, Sloths, singing, dancing and falling asleep to Criminal Minds.Courtney had a special bond with her Grandfather, Charles Wahler, who predeceased her in 2020. Courtney will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, selflessness, her uncanny wit and sense of humor, and her infectious personality. She was a positive light in the lives of everyone who had the opportunity to know her; and she left an imprint on their hearts.
Courtney is survived by her mother, Frances Thompson (nee Wahler); brother, Nick Giarritta and his wife, Nicole Caldarola; her nephew, Tyler Giarritta, and her niece, Roselyn Giarritta; her sister, Ashley Thompson-Schmied and her husband Joseph Schmied; her sister, Ainslee Thompson, and her brother-in-law Kyle Black-Smith; as well as her partner, Dani Bartley and their pets Riley, Zen, Buddah, and Ted; and her aunts, uncles, many cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held at Kugler Funeral Home on 5th Street, Saddle Brook, NJ on Wednesday, April 14 from 3-7 pm. Cremation Private.
