Barthlemus J. Polizzotti

BARTHLEMUS J. POLIZZOTTI, 89, of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away on January 30, 2021. He was born on January 15, 1932 in Paterson, NJ to father Joseph Louis Polizzotti and mother Vincenza Polizzotti, (nee) Chiara. Bart was employed by HUD (Housing, Urban & Development) for 30 years before retiring at the age of 55. He returned to work as a civil engineer for the city of Hackensack for 8 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn Polizzotti (nee) Mc Farlane and son Jeremiah Polizzotti. He is survived by his children Bartholomew Polizzotti and his wife Lori, Jean Oviedo and Joseph Polizzotti and his wife Elizabeth; his brother-in-law Jeremiah McFarlane; grandchildren Jayson, Jennifer and her husband William, Justin and his wife Brigette, Christopher, Aimee and her husband Adam, Darren, Joseph, Nicholas and his fiance Brittany, Elizabeth and Matthew and his great grandchildren Nolan, Avery, Jeremiah & Liam. He was also survived by his special friend Marie Shust.
Bart was a life long parishioner of St. Phillip the Apostle Church in Saddle Brook. He was a member and former President of the Saddle Brook Golden Agers Club. Bart was also a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War from 1953-1955.
Bart was an avid bowler at Q-Lanes & Parkway Lanes, both in Elmwood Park. He was a master wood carver belonging to a group named the "Whittle Ones". Bart's other interests included nature, the NY Mets and his love of food especially exotic cuisine.
The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
